On my back door there hangs a spring wreath. In that spring wreath a bird has made a perfect nest. In that nest there lies a beautiful Tiffany-colored blue egg. In that blue egg is a baby bird. And in that baby bird is the tiniest Russian Doll.

Buttermilk Pancakes with Apricot Honey
I love rituals. Most of my daily rituals are done in the early hours of the day. Before the 6AM hour, when all of my babies wake, I’ll have exercised, straightened up, watched the Real Housewives of (insert city), and enjoyed my morning coffee. I love that time to myself. These are rituals that, if accomplished, I have a happier day.

Apricot Honey
Guess what? I canned something today. I CANNED! Canning always seems so daunting to me. And don’t get me started on botulism. Nevertheless, I was determined to face my fears, so I canned the Apricot Honey you see above. It turns out that canning is not too difficult with the proper equipment. Here’s a fun fact for you, there is no actual honey in apricot honey. Hey, but don’t let that stop you. This is one wonderfully sweet and slightly tangy sauce.
